In a significant move to enforce discipline, the District Police Officer (DPO) of Khanewal, Ismail Kharrak, has taken stringent departmental action against multiple traffic police personnel found negligent in their duties. According to official police sources, three Traffic Assistants have been outright dismissed from service for failing to fulfill their responsibilities. The officials removed from their posts are Zahid Imran (with service number 1168/TA), Junaid Ajmal (30/TA), and Ehtesham Haider (6/TA).
In addition to the dismissals, a series of demotions have been enforced. Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Irfan Ahmed has been reduced in rank to Head Constable. Furthermore, three Head Constables have been downgraded to the rank of Constable due to negligence and unsatisfactory performance. The demoted Head Constables are Muhammad Asif (233/HC), Hasnain Ali (190/HC), and Faheem Kamran (1394/HC).
