Tragic Vehicle Accident Claims Six Lives in Abbottabad
A devastating road accident occurred on Saturday in the scenic but treacherous terrain of Bairan Gali, resulting in the tragic loss of six lives. The incident involved a Suzuki highroof vehicle that met with a fatal accident within the jurisdiction of Bagnoter Police Station.
Victims Identified in the Fatal Crash
According to police authorities, the deceased included four men and two women. The victims have been identified as Maria, daughter of Shabbir (25); Fatima, daughter of Sarwar (33/34); Zulfiqar alias Pappu, son of Hussain (45); Zubair, son of Zulfiqar (23); Yasir, son of Khalil (38); and Akhtar, aged 35, whose father's name could not be immediately confirmed. The vehicle, bearing registration number LEE-7130, was traveling from Bairan Gali to Abbottabad when the tragic accident occurred at Bairan Gali Khari.
Rescue Operations Face Significant Challenges
A heavy contingent of police personnel immediately reached the accident spot and launched rescue efforts. However, officials reported that the rescue operations encountered substantial difficulties due to the depth and steepness of the ravine where the vehicle had fallen. The challenging terrain complicated the efforts to retrieve the victims and the vehicle wreckage.
