KP Approves Major Reforms in Domicile Issuance System

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved major reforms in the domicile issuance system, integrating it with the Dastak mobile application and the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) system. Officials said the reforms are aimed at improving efficiency, enhancing transparency and providing greater convenience to citizens under a business process re-engineering model.

New Processing Timelines

Under the new mechanism, domicile applications verified through NADRA will be processed and issued within one day. Applicants whose residential address has remained unchanged for up to three years will also benefit from a fast-track process. Cases involving address changes made within one to three years will be verified within three days, while applications with recent address changes will be reviewed by district committees and processed within ten days.

Integration with Digital Platforms

Authorities said linking the domicile software with the Dastak app and NADRA CRVS system will streamline verification procedures and significantly reduce delays. Citizens will also be able to complete biometric verification through the NADRA Pak ID mobile application or E-Sahulat centres.
