Maryam Nawaz Visits Kahna, Announces Rs2m Compensation

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif visited Kahna on Friday to meet families of children who lost their lives in the recent tuition centre roof collapse. She offered condolences and announced financial assistance for the affected families.

CM Expresses Condolences and Announces Compensation

During her visit, the chief minister met bereaved parents, shared their grief, and comforted the mothers of the deceased children. She also expressed sympathy with the injured and assured the families of the Punjab government's full support. The Punjab government announced compensation of Rs2 million for each deceased child and Rs500,000 for every injured victim.

Compensation Cheques Handed Over Personally

Maryam Nawaz personally handed over compensation cheques to the affected families and directed authorities to ensure the best possible medical treatment for those injured in the incident. Speaking to the grieving families, the chief minister said no amount of financial assistance could compensate for the loss suffered by the parents.

"Words are not enough to express this grief," she said. "No amount of money can heal the pain of mothers who have lost their children." Describing the deaths as heartbreaking, Maryam Nawaz vowed that the government would not leave the bereaved families alone during their time of sorrow. "Your children's loss is my own loss," she told the families, reaffirming the Punjab government's commitment to standing by them and providing every possible assistance.
