The session, presided over by Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, witnessed the approval of all 59 clauses of the constitutional amendment through clause-by-clause voting. The process culminated in a decisive victory for the government, with 233 members voting in favor and only four opposing the legislation.
Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar presented the motion to the house, emphasizing that the constitutional framework had already undergone thorough discussion in the Senate. Overwhelming Political Support
The government demonstrated strong numerical strength during the voting process. With 233 government members present in the assembly, the ruling coalition comfortably surpassed the required 224 votes needed for the amendment's passage. The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) emerged as the sole political party opposing the constitutional changes.
Among the significant outcomes of this amendment is the appointment of Justice Yahya Afridi as the new Chief Justice of Pakistan, who will assume his responsibilities under the newly approved provisions.

The parliamentary session also featured a touching human moment when senior PPP leader Khurshid Shah attended the proceedings in a wheelchair. Demonstrating political camaraderie and concern for colleagues, both PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif personally approached him to extend greetings and inquire about his health.
In a separate but related development, the session also highlighted the government's focus on youth development, with announcements about the U-16 Talent Hunt Program that will feature over 26,000 players from 150 tehsils across the country.
