An FIR was lodged with Waris Khan police by the complainant, Sheikh Shafqat Ali, who is the father of the deceased, Hamza, aged 15. According to his statement, he and his maternal nephew, Muhammad Irfan, were standing at the corner of street 28 around 6:30 pm on Friday when they heard commotion in front of Hassan Chicken Shop.
Sheikh Shafqat Ali, a jeweler by profession, further detailed that upon reaching the shop, he found Hamza with his friends Basit and Hassan. Aseed Ahmed, also known as Sonu, armed with a pistol, was standing on the balcony of his house, while Talha, also armed, was in the street.
Eyewitness Account of the Shooting
The father recounted to the police, "They were abusing my son. Sonu challenged my son, saying he would kill him today. Sonu opened fire on my son, hitting him on the back near his right shoulder. Then Talha targeted Basit and hit him in the left leg. Sonu also opened fire on Basit, hitting him in the left arm. My son died on the spot."
