KSrelief Treats Pediatric Cancer Patients in Damascus
Saudi Arabia's aid agency, the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSrelief), is conducting a medical project in Damascus, Syria, focusing on pediatric oncology and hematology. Running until June 26, the initiative is supported by nine volunteers from various medical specialties. As of the latest report, the team has examined 80 patients and performed four surgeries.
Healthcare Services at Zaatari Camp in Jordan
In Jordan, KSrelief continues to provide healthcare through its clinics at the Zaatari camp for Syrian refugees. Over the course of one month, the clinics served 6,595 patients. Services covered general medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, dentistry, women’s health, ENT, ophthalmology, cardiology, dermatology, and rehabilitation medicine.
Cochlear Implantation Program in Turkey
KSrelief recently concluded a four-day voluntary program in Turkey for cochlear implantation and auditory rehabilitation. During the campaign, the medical team conducted hearing assessments, ear mold measurements, and hearing aid programming. They distributed hearing devices to 371 beneficiaries.
Prosthetics and Rehabilitation in Aden, Yemen
In Yemen, a KSrelief-backed prosthetics and rehabilitation center in Aden governorate provided 8,439 medical services to 3,089 beneficiaries over five months during the ninth phase of its operational project for people who had lost limbs. Services included the manufacture and fitting of prosthetic limbs, rehabilitation, physical therapy, and specialized consultations.
Voluntary Prosthetics Project in Budapest, Hungary
KSrelief is also running a voluntary prosthetics project in Budapest, Hungary, which will continue until June 29. Since the campaign began on June 22, the volunteer medical team has examined 12 beneficiaries and taken measurements for prosthetic fittings.
