Leigh-Anne Pinnock Accuses Warner Records, Goes Independent for Album
Leigh-Anne Pinnock Slams Label, Releases Solo Album Alone

Former Little Mix singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock has made serious allegations against her previous music label, Warner Records. She claims the company refused to release her first solo album, forcing her to take full control of her career as an independent artist.

Public Accusations on Social Media

Pinnock shared her story in a candid Instagram video posted on Tuesday. She used the platform to reflect on her challenging experiences over the last year. The central allegation is that Warner Records decided not to proceed with her debut solo project, titled My Ego Told Me To.

The reason given by the label, according to Pinnock, was a simple lack of budget. This rejection became the catalyst for a major career shift. "So, long story short, the label have said no, basically," Pinnock stated in the video. "They don't have the budget to put my album out. So I'm ready to just take the reins. It will be a new chapter and I just can't wait. And I'm leading this sh*t."

A Lesson in Self-Belief and Moving Forward

In the caption accompanying her video, the singer framed this setback as a profound lesson. She turned the situation into a message of empowerment for her fans. "Proof that when you trust and back yourself, doors open," she wrote.

She encouraged others to walk away from anything holding them back. "Reflecting back on this year, I learned that if something is holding you back, stand up and leave," Pinnock added. Her concluding thoughts were a powerful affirmation: "You are capable. You are powerful. Don't shrink for anyone. You are enough. You always were."

The Road to Independence and New Beginnings

Pinnock's journey to this point began after Little Mix announced an indefinite hiatus. She signed a deal with Warner Records in 2022, but the partnership ended in May 2025. Following her departure, she aligned with Virgin Music Group, but this time under an independent artist agreement.

Since becoming independent, she has already released several singles. Her focus now is entirely on her debut album. My Ego Told Me To is scheduled for release on February 20, 2026. Alongside the album, Pinnock has announced plans for a headline tour, marking a completely self-directed phase of her career.

It is not publicly known when Warner Records originally planned to release the album. As of now, Warner Records has not issued any public statement addressing Pinnock's allegations.
