SM Entertainment has announced that Winwin will leave all activities with NCT after his exclusive contract with the agency concludes on July 9, 2026. The decision, made public on July 8 through the fan community platform Weverse, follows discussions between the artist and the company. According to OSEN, the agency stated, "After thorough discussions with the artist Winwin, we have agreed to finalize the exclusive contract as of July 9, 2026."

Career Highlights with NCT

Winwin debuted as a member of NCT 127 on July 7, 2016, and later joined the China-based unit WayV when it launched in 2019. He also performed with NCT U in 2017. Over more than a decade, including his trainee period, Winwin contributed to the group's global success before shifting focus to solo acting projects in his home country of China in recent years.

SM Entertainment's Statement

In its announcement, SM Entertainment expressed gratitude for Winwin's years of dedication. "We express our gratitude to Winwin, who has been with us for over 10 years since his trainee days, and we will cheer for his future as he begins a new journey," the agency said. The company also thanked fans, stating, "We sincerely thank all fans who have always supported NCT with unwavering enthusiasm." No further details were provided regarding Winwin's future activities or any new management arrangements.
