Rumer Willis' ex-boyfriend, Derek Richard Thomas, has formally denied allegations of abuse made by the actress and has instead accused her of sharing inappropriate content involving their daughter on social media. In new legal filings reported by TMZ, Thomas rejected claims that he acted aggressively or inappropriately during their relationship, describing the allegations as substantially inaccurate.
Thomas Denies Abuse Allegations
Thomas stated that their relationship ended due to ongoing conflict, not violence or intimidation. He alleged that Willis has featured their three-year-old daughter, Louetta, in sponsored social media posts containing what he described as adult sexual humor, claiming he never gave consent for the child to appear in such content. The dispute comes amid an ongoing custody battle between the former couple.
Thomas Seeks Custody Arrangement
Thomas said he remains actively involved in his daughter's life and speaks with her regularly, despite what he claims are restrictions on in-person contact. He further argued that he has been willing to provide financial support and requested a structured custody arrangement to ensure stability for their child.
Willis' Previous Allegations
Willis, the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, previously filed documents accusing Thomas of incessant domestic violence and emotional abuse during their relationship. She also alleged that his behavior became increasingly unstable after the birth of their daughter in 2023. According to court filings, Willis claimed she experienced prolonged emotional distress and accused Thomas of controlling and erratic behavior. She also requested primary custody, arguing that shared arrangements without proper evaluation would not be in the child's best interest.
Ongoing Custody Battle
Thomas has firmly denied all allegations of abuse, with his legal team describing the claims as inaccurate. The custody dispute between the two remains ongoing as both sides continue to present conflicting accounts in court filings.
