Dua Lipa has finally shared official photographs from her wedding celebrations with actor Callum Turner, giving fans a closer look at the spectacular fashion and romantic moments from the couple's Sicily festivities. The 30-year-old singer and the 36-year-old actor first tied the knot during a private civil ceremony in London on May 31. For that occasion, Lipa wore a custom Schiaparelli couture skirt suit and wide-brimmed hat inspired by Bianca Jagger.
Weeks later, the newlyweds hosted a three-day celebration in Palermo, Sicily, surrounded by family and celebrity friends. After teasing several outfits throughout the weekend, Lipa has now revealed the gown she wore for the main ceremony. The Grammy winner posted a series of photographs on Instagram captured by renowned photographer David Sims. The images showed the couple embracing and celebrating with guests during the reception.
Custom Chanel Haute Couture Gown
For the ceremony itself, Lipa wore a custom Chanel haute couture wedding dress created under the direction of Matthieu Blazy. According to Chanel, the design marks the first haute couture bridal look created by Blazy for a friend of the fashion house. The gown featured intricate crystal and feather embellishments, a dramatic train and a detailed embroidered veil. Chanel said the dress involved contributions from several specialist ateliers in Paris. The creation included approximately 480,000 beads, more than 25,000 feathers and over 1,000 hours of handwork on decorative details. Turner complemented his bride in a custom Louis Vuitton suit.
Historic Sicilian Estate and Cuisine
Reports indicated that the main wedding celebration took place at Villa Valguarnera, an historic Sicilian estate often referred to as a miniature Versailles. Guests reportedly enjoyed local Sicilian cuisine including anelletti alla Norma, panelle and crocché, while desserts included cannoli and cassata. Several well-known names attended the festivities, including Donatella Versace, Joe Alwyn, Olivia Dean, Charli XCX, Mark Ronson, Grace Gummer and Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker.
Love Story and Future Plans
The couple first met around 2023 and later reconnected in Los Angeles through mutual friends. During a previous interview with British Vogue, Lipa described the prospect of growing old together and remaining best friends as a special feeling.
