Free Skills Courses in Gwadar: Apply by Dec 5, 2025 for IT, Languages & More
Gwadar Free Skills Courses: Apply by Dec 5, 2025

The Pak-China Technical and Vocational Institute (PCT&VI) in Gwadar has announced a significant opportunity for youth, opening admissions for the third batch of its fully subsidized skills development programs. This initiative, supported by the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) and the Prime Minister Youth Program, aims to equip young Pakistanis with market-relevant expertise.

Diverse Free Short-Term Courses

Prospective students with educational backgrounds ranging from middle to intermediate levels can now apply for a variety of free, three-month skills courses. The curriculum is designed to meet modern industry demands and includes popular fields such as graphic design, web development, office management, and e-commerce. Additionally, the institute offers language training in Chinese and English, as well as a course for LTV driving. The deadline for submitting online applications is December 5, 2025.

Expanded Diploma and Technical Programs

Beyond the short courses, PCT&VI is also welcoming students for its longer-term diploma programs for the 2025–26 academic session. The offerings are comprehensive and future-oriented. Students can enroll in three-year associate diploma programs in disciplines like Information Technology, Maritime and Port Management, E-commerce, Robotics Engineering, and Tourism. For those seeking quicker qualifications, one-year diplomas are available in Languages, Construction Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence & Data Sciences.

The institute has also prioritized technical trades with six-month courses. These include practical training in crane operation, solar panel installation, and mobile phone repair. To ensure accessibility, the institute provides tuition waivers and stipends for eligible candidates, removing financial barriers to education.

Building a Skilled Workforce for CPEC and Beyond

This expansion of course offerings underscores the institute's growing role in the region's development. As a key city in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Gwadar is poised for massive industrial and commercial growth. The PCT&VI, a product of Pak-China institutional cooperation, is directly contributing to this by developing a skilled workforce ready for CPEC-linked industries and other emerging sectors in Balochistan.

The institute has been progressively enhancing its curriculum. Earlier this year, it introduced short courses in digital and AI-related skills. Furthermore, a specialized six-month crane and driving diploma was launched in July through a collaboration with China’s Shandong Institute of Commerce and Technology, incorporating valuable hands-on training and industry exposure for students.
