Mega Cultural Festival 'Mera Sohna Faisalabad' Announced

Faisalabad to Host Grand Cultural Extravaganza

In a significant move to boost cultural activities and public recreation, the divisional administration of Faisalabad has announced a major event titled "Mera Sohna Faisalabad". This initiative is being launched under the direct vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. The mega festival is scheduled for the upcoming month, aiming to showcase the district's vibrant culture and provide entertainment for its residents.

Key Decisions from the Planning Meeting

The announcement was formalized during a crucial meeting held on Friday, which was chaired by Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar. He issued clear instructions for organizing a diverse array of competitions and exhibitions. The event will feature a wide spectrum of activities including paintings, poetry, film festivals, writing, photography, national songs, and calligraphy. Commissioner Anwar directed the authorities to ensure that registration for all categories will be managed through a dedicated dashboard, streamlining the process for participants.

Prizes, Committee Formation, and Stakeholder Involvement

To encourage widespread participation and recognize talent, the Commissioner mandated that attractive prizes be awarded to winners in every category. For the meticulous planning and execution of the event, a General Management Committee was constituted during the meeting. The planning process is set to be a collaborative effort, as stakeholders from the Faisalabad Arts Council, GC University, and GC Women University actively presented their proposals and ideas for the festival.

This large-scale event represents a concerted effort by the Punjab government and local administration to foster community engagement and celebrate the unique cultural identity of Faisalabad, providing a platform for local artists and the public to connect.
