Pakistan's Sports Goods Exports Jump 15.86% in FY 2025-26
Pak Sports Goods Exports Rise 15.86% in 5 Months

Pakistan's export sector has scored a significant goal, with overseas sales of sports goods recording robust growth in the first five months of the current financial year. Official data reveals a substantial increase, signaling positive momentum for this key manufacturing and export industry.

Strong Overall Growth in Sports Exports

According to the latest figures released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the country exported sports goods worth $179.334 million during the period from July to November in the 2025-26 financial year. This marks a significant rise compared to the $154.791 million earned in the corresponding months of the previous year (2024-25), reflecting a growth of 15.86 percent.

Product-Wise Performance: Footballs Soar, Gloves Dip

A breakdown of the PBS data shows a standout performance by the football manufacturing sector. Exports of footballs witnessed an impressive surge of 23.64 percent, jumping from $91.911 million last year to $113.638 million this year.

Similarly, the category of all other sports goods also saw healthy growth, increasing by 15.79 percent to $41.290 million from $35.660 million last year.

However, not all segments shared in the success. The export of gloves experienced a decline, falling by 10.34 percent from $27.220 million to $24.406 million during the reviewed five-month period.

Monthly Trends: Year-on-Year Rise, Month-on-Month Dip

Analyzing the monthly data for November 2025 provides further insight. On a year-on-year basis, sports goods exports in November 2025 were 7.80 percent higher than in November 2024. The exports were recorded at $31.652 million, up from $29.363 million.

The monthly product trend for November mirrored the five-month data: football exports grew by 10.62 percent, other sports goods by 19.25 percent, while glove exports decreased by 14.92 percent.

However, compared to the immediate previous month, November 2025 saw a contraction. The exports decreased by 13.83 percent compared to October 2025, when exports were valued at $36.734 million.

The overall positive trend in the first five months of FY 2025-26 highlights the resilience and competitive edge of Pakistan's sports goods industry, particularly in football manufacturing, on the global stage. Industry stakeholders will be keen to build on this momentum while addressing challenges in segments like glove production.
