Key Infrastructure Project
Officials stated that the highway, which passes through Multan, Vehari, and Khanewal districts, is a key infrastructure project expected to improve transport facilities, enhance trade activity, and strengthen regional connectivity across South Punjab.
During the briefing, the commissioner was informed that approximately 80 percent of the construction work has been completed, while June 30 has been set as the official deadline for full completion. The commissioner also inspected a nine-kilometre stretch from Metla Chowk to Tibba Sultanpur.
The commissioner emphasized the importance of maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring timely completion. He directed the concerned authorities to expedite work on remaining sections and resolve any bottlenecks immediately. The project is anticipated to significantly boost economic activities in the region by facilitating smoother transportation of goods and people.
