Leaders of the Hyderabad SITE Association of Trade and Industry (HSATI) have extended their warm congratulations to the newly elected leadership of the Hyderabad Press Club, emphasizing the critical role of a responsible media in fostering economic development.
Leadership Congratulates New Press Club Team
Chairman Zubair Ghanghro, alongside Patron-in-Chief Mazhar-ul-Haq, Senior Vice Chairman Aamir Shahab, Vice Chairman Esar Kumar, General Secretary Shahid Qaimkhani, and Finance Secretary Aslam Bawani, formally felicitated the club's new office bearers. The elected team includes President Junaid Khanzada, Vice President J. Parkash, Secretary Ashok Sharma, Joint Secretary Faheem Babbar, and Treasurer Akram Shahid.
The industrial association stated that transparent, informed, and responsible journalism forms the bedrock of economic stability, investor confidence, and industrial growth in the region. They expressed optimism for a continued collaborative partnership.
Media: A Pillar of Economic Policy
On this occasion, Chairman Zubair Ghanghro elaborated on the media's multifaceted role. He asserted that the press is not just a news dissemination channel but a vital pillar in shaping economic policy, strengthening the industrial environment, and building business confidence.
He stressed that highlighting pressing challenges faced by the industrial sector—such as the energy crisis, rising production costs, regulatory complexities, taxation issues, and weak infrastructure—is the essential first step toward achieving meaningful economic reforms.
A Proven Partnership for Progress
Ghanghro pointed to the tangible outcomes of the existing collaboration between the Hyderabad SITE Association and the Hyderabad Press Club. He noted that through continuous consultation and coordination, several long-standing industrial issues have been successfully brought to the attention of government forums, leading to progress on multiple fronts.
He expressed strong confidence that this partnership would continue to play a key role in strengthening the Hyderabad industrial zone in the future. The association also congratulated the newly elected Executive Committee members—Khalid Khokhar, Lala Rehman Samoon, Muhammad Hussain Khan, Muhammad Usman Zafar, Muhammad Iqbal Mallah, Hameed-ur-Rehman, Ali Hassan, Sohail Ansari, Javed Ali, and Javed Nisar Channa—as well as Raja Anwar for the Associate Class, on their clear victory.
Looking Ahead: A Shared Vision for Prosperity
Mr. Ghanghro conveyed hope that the new Press Club leadership would actively promote a positive image of industrial activity, present issues with realism, and prioritize public interest in their reporting. This approach, he believes, will help ensure the city's economic direction continues on the right path.
Concluding his remarks, he underscored that only a combination of strong industry, responsible media, and effective institutions can generate sustainable employment, boost exports, and ensure overall economic prosperity. The SITE Association pledged its full cooperation to further strengthen this essential collaboration with the media.
